Students unite and compete at annual CCCC Fall Mixer

Coshocton County Career Center Culinary Arts I junior, Kelsey Carnes, from River View throws a plastic washer, trying to land it in a high-score ring. Students from her program, cheer her on, while English instructor Pat Talbot [with clipboard] keeps the team’s score of accumulated points. Though it had to be postponed twice due to rain, the Coshocton County Career Center students and staff enjoyed themselves on a warm and sunny Friday, Oct. 7th at the school’s annual fall mixer event. As it is each year, the mixer is sponsored by the Career Center Student Council organization, for the purpose of giving students and staff an opportunity to get to know one another better in a fun, but competitive environment.

Each program competed in many games, which included a football toss, Frisbee bowling, softball, lawn golf, a basketball shoot-off, and a tug-of-war competition, among others. The mixer promotes cooperation and camaraderie among programs and a little friendly competition between them, as students work together by program to accumulate points, while having fun socializing.
