Let’s Celebrate Spring!

In anticipation of our upcoming Spring Break, Student Council is sponsoring Spring Spirit Week, which will be celebrated April 2-4.  Each Day of the week has a special dress-up theme.  Join the fun and let your spring spirit show!

Monday, April 2 – Pajama Day
Tuesday, April 3 – Camo Day
Wednesday, April 4 – Favorite Teacher Day

(Hats can be worn on all days if they fit the outfit theme.)

Easter Bunny-Gram Sale

Student Council is sponsoring the sale of Easter greetings called Bunny-Grams. Each plastic egg is filled with Hershey Kisses and a mini-card message from you, the sender. Student Council members will make and deliver the eggs for you. Each Bunny-Gram is $0.50 or you can get 3 for $1.00. Student Council members will be taking orders at lunchtime in the cafeteria from March 26 through April 2. The Bunny-Grams will be delivered the short week before Spring Break. Please help support this Student Council activity and have a very Happy Easter.

Career Center earns Gold from United Way

United Way campaign organizer Pam Grace displays the United Way Gold award, recently presented to the Career Center for their 2011-2012 contributions.

A heart-felt “thank-you” to all Career Center instructors, administrators and support staff for rallying to earn our school the United Way of Coshocton County’s Gold Award, for their efforts in the agency’s 2011-2012 fund-raising campaign.

Friday Early Dismissal

As a celebration of the end of the 3rd Nine Weeks, the Career Center will be having an early release for its students this Friday, March 16. Ridgewood bus students will be picked up at 12:18 PM to return to Ridgewood.  River View bus students will be picked up at 12:45 PM to return to River View.  Any other student who has transportation will be allowed to leave after the River View bus departs.  Coshocton students who cannot find another method of transportation will be in the cafeteria in a Study Hall until normal dismissal (2:17 PM).

Red Cross Blood Drive

Attention Students and Staff, the Career Center and Red Cross are hosting a Blood Drive exclusively for you in the front Computer Lab on Monday, March 19th during the regular school day.  To participate in Blood Drive, you may sign up at the Front Office with Mrs. Olinger or Mr. D.

Shammy-Gram Sale

Student Council is sponsoring the sale of Saint Patrick’s Day cards called Shammy-Grams. Each card comes with Skittles and a message from you, the sender. Student Council members will make and deliver the cards for you. Each Shammy-Gram is $0.25 or you can get 5 for $1.00. Student Council members will be taking orders at lunchtime in the cafeteria this week. The Shammy-Grams will be delivered on the Monday after Saint Patrick’s Day.

Karaoke Contest

Student Council is sponsoring the annual Karaoke Singing Showdown on Wednesday, April 4th, at 1:15 PM.  RD Promotions will once again host the event, now all we need are some contestants!  The contest is for solos or duets only. Group performances are permitted, but will not be judged.  If you would like to compete or perform in the Showdown, see Miss Overholt today to sign up.  We must have at least six acts for the Showdown to take place, so sign up today!
